Possibly: "Sono andato/a per la valle dell'ombra della morte.", but I'm not a native speaker (neither of Italian nor of English) and there's no guarantee that this translation is right.

If you refer to psalm 23/4:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Salmi+23&version=LND / https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Salmi+23&version=BDG / https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Salmi+23&version=N...:
"4 Quand'anche camminassi nella valle dell'ombra della morte, [...]" (La Nuova Diodati; Nuova Riveduta 1994; Nuova Riveduta 2006)

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Salmi+23&version=CEI:
"4 Se dovessi camminare in una valle oscura, [...]" (Conferenza Episcopale Italiana)

(But attention: The English version of this psalm is "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death [...]", so you can't use the Italian versions exactly as they are written above.)

There are some other variants on Reverso, too: http://context.reverso.net/traduzione/inglese-italiano/I+walk+throu....

And another thing: Why don't you have tattoed it in your native language? There's no guarantee that an Italian translation of your sentence has absolutely the same meaning as your English sentence and it maybe could be read in different ways, too (and you can't validate the quality of translations of it posted in the Internet, as your Italian is obviously not good enough to translate it yourself).
